As we all know car clubs are basically stereotyped into one format, a set of youths that just care about racing and cars. But Nisoctt wanted to let people know that we are different it’s been the goal of the club to do some sort of charity work and give back to society, so in keeping with the sprit of giving and Christmas the club decided to do it’s first ever toy drive.
And thanks to the nice people at the Jaya Lakshmi Children’s Home in Longdenville the club got the opportunity to do so. with the generous donations from members of the club and some business we got toys, gift paper, candy, cookies, corn curls, colouring books, pencil, crayons, chubby soft drinks, party bags and some monetary donations .But what really helped take this event to the next level was the kind of commitment, hard work , determination and dedication that members put into this event.
Our members came out on Saturday night from 7pm until 12am wrapping toys and doing party bags. On Sunday the 23rd of December, 2007 the club went to the Jaya Lakshmi Children Home to meet and deliver the toys to the kids. The highlight of the event was the look on the kids’ faces when they saw the Chubbyman walk into the home.
Yes NisocTT got the Chubbyman to share the toys, party bag and entertain the kids at the home.NisocTT also plans on using monetary donation collected by the club to buy bed sheets, pillow cases and towels to take to the home. the club plans to keep in contact with the home and try to help out as much as possible.NisocTT would like to thank Simon, Daryl, Rios, Alicia, Melissa, Azis, Jerry the wrappers, S.M.Jaleel And Company Ltd and everyone who contributed to this event in anyway and it’s success.
