FROM TUNER:
http://www.trinituner.com/v3/2010/09/25/stance-nationals-the-gathering/After months of anticipation, hard work & endless preparation… The Stance Movement executed the country’s first official Tuners Meet & Greet. For those of you that have been following up the movement, for the past four months we have been scanning the country for some quality rides that we don’t usually get to see… The inclement weather distorted our plans for the day, which resulted in alot of cars not coming out to participate, despite that… the heavens showed us some mercy later in the afternoon, and all skies were clear from around 3pm – 8pm. In total we had close to 100 cars participating at the event, the expected figure was approximately 150 cars. Despite the slight shortage in vehicle turn out, there was nothing close to a shortage in spectator turn out… The fans came out in all their vibrant colors despite all odds and gave the movement their full support. Good People… Good Rides… Good Times!
The event kicked off a little late due to the rain, but one by one, they started rolling in… We saw a nice mixture of JDMs & Euros, not much Exotics came out (again due to bad weather), there was one Porsche spotted in the midst of all the excitement though… Peter Morris and his daughter Hannah also came out & represented the movement with their Evo-X on Advan RG2s and the ever popular Shelby Cobra 427 V8 convertible. The first two cars to be present were Creativ Lab’s pearl white S15 fitted with 19″ LMGT4s & Tech9’s pearl white 05′ Legacy on 19″ TSW Vairanos. Both were installments brought forward by the two main promoters of the event.
There was a nice old school section with some very tasteful Datsuns, some factory condition cars far older than myself and some other old schools packin’ some heavy horse power. Clifford Tardieu also came out and represented the V8 Club with his awesome Ford Capri, the sound of that could make anyone weak (trust me). Sting Auto Garage also came out and represented under the Valvoline banner, doing a wonderful promotion with the beautiful Valvoline girls… We saw the Cyber Evo crew representing in full effect with a host of various Mitsubishi Evolutions.
Peak Performance & Dream Carz also made a grand entrance driving in their 8.9sec ‘ Fastest Street Car / 6 Cylinder in the Caribbean” Toyota Supra, their S14.5 drift machine & the 666 Time Attack STi was also on display.
Boost Factory Garage was most present with their 9sec S14 Silvia & one of the sweetest looking MK4s in the country. Rush Auto had a nice line up in their tents and Rated RPM presented a properly stanced 350Z, together with an aggressive Audi A4 sporting a matte black finish. Marsden made a late appearance with his Driftworks S15 dressed in carbon fiber (yumm..) , and his clean Gun Metal A4 pressed on 19″ matching Audi wheels… and yes, Darryl’s white S-Line slammed on 20″ factory wheels was definitely there… parking it hard as usual.
The D&D crew brought forward some crazy rides, from a full V.I.P GS300 to the Nur Spec R34 GTR… they had three tents with some insane rides. Jameer Ali’s circuit Honda was also on display, and what a marvellous display it was… Aaron also brought along both R32s that were definitely head turners. Team Monster Racing made their dramatic entrance with their Pulsar GTiR entering the meet in their locally built trailer, that was put together by Creativ Labs & Bedwok Fabrications. We saw a host of individual tuners bringing forward their creations, from Skylines to Silvias, Subarus to RX-7s, front wheel drives, rear wheel drives and all wheel drives… a beautiful mixture. Some from the Altezza club were most present, coming out and giving their full support. We had some nice Euros in the mix including a kitted Range Rover Sport on Forgiatos & a 09′ E-Class Mercedes, with an AMG kit on Forgiatos also… and not forgetting that sweet Toyota Crown Athlete that’s screaming for a ‘bippu’ finish. lots of local racers and tuners were seen in the midst of it all having a great time, soaking in the displays… along with other popular faces in the motorsport industry.
We’d like to send special thanks to Duane & Trinituner.com, Narend & Zorce Racing Magazine, Linzi with Sixth Speed Magazine, Mr. Rawle Mahabir of Auto Sport Promotions, Mr. Eddie Ayin of Grand Bazaar, all of our Sponsors, all of our supporters and all the tuners, garages & speed shops that came out and represented the movement. Most importantly to all the Photographers & Videographers that covered our meet and car park limes… just to mention a few; Gerrard Wilson, Lyden Thomas, Christian Ramnarine, Kevin Khan, Avidt Mohammed, Matthew Downes & Aaron Achan. And to the ‘Most High’ for always clearing the skies…….
All in All, despite a few minor set backs… Stance Nationals : ONE “The Gathering”, was a Huge Success. Everyone seemed to be pleased with the meet, the music and the mixture… and best of all, it was free to the public. Even the kids had a great time with their bouncy castle, and the guys definitely didn’t know which direction to turn… with all the beautiful ladies & insane rides present.
So by now you people should already know… that Stance is all about Parking it Hard ! ! !
So until our next meet……. please stay tuned, be safe & keep representing this Revolutionary Stance Movement.
