Re: Conrad's A31 Cefiro
Then I got rid of the chromies and got some staggered 17" Gulf Stich wheels.
7" up front with +25 offset
AND
8" in the rear with an offset of +19
Also in the below pic you could see the S14 4 pot calipers and 11" rotors which I got off a fellow forum member on 3NE2NR.
In addition to the the bigger front brakes the car had a 5 stud conversion done using C35 spindles which were done after my steering rack blew its seals on an alignment ramp .
Using the 5 stud upgrade up front as an excuse a complete R32 GTS-T subframe was installed in the rear so now the car had the R32 stock viscous LSD, a pair of 2 pot calipers in the rear coupled with 11.75" ventilated rotors.

Re: Conrad's A31 Cefiro
In September 2009 the ole' faithful RB20DE gave up the ghost leaving me with another opportunity to upgrade. The choices were between a RB20DET or a RB25DET, both being fairly simple swaps with minor wiring.
I went with the RB25DET as it was newer, had a larger capacity (more torque) and was available at a great price due to a friend. While the engine was being installed by my mechanic (don’t have the space to do my own installation and it would’ve been a steep learning curve) I sourced supporting mods to go with the 2.5 litre turbo R33 Skyline engine.
The aim was to get the engine in as fast as possible on a limited budget.
Stock side mount intercooler.
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
3” Stainless-steel cat-back exhaust with no resonator (purchased months prior to the engine and is LOUD)
K&N conical air filter
APEXi mechanical boost gauge

Thanks for the comments.
Yes a front mount and some other stuff are on the cards.

Thanks man. Open to criticism/ideas as well.
So many things I want to do to the poor thing including selling it.

Re: Conrad's A31 Cefiro
What about Extractors. The Exhaust piping, did you do it over? If not put a 2" or 2.5" straight pipe! 2" might cost you about $1100, the 2.5" $1500! When you're finished with yours and I am finished with mine, would love to go head to head!

Re: Conrad's A31 Cefiro
Thanks man but this is a RB25DET so the term extractors which are usually applied to naturally aspirated engines won't apply here.
As mentioned before it has a 3" straight through cat-back exhaust i.e. from the catalytic converter area (has a test-pipe) straight back to the barrel is a constant 3 inches.
The downpipe that is currently on is a stock one. I contemplated fabbing a local 3" one but if I changed to a top-mount I'll have to redo another. If I come across one that's already made for cheap I may put it on.

Re: Conrad's A31 Cefiro
dont they have "extractor type" turbo manifolds...aka faster better flowing exhaust manifolds?

But of course nismo!
All those stuff would come in time but definitely not on a stock T28

Re: Conrad's A31 Cefiro
Starting back to put down a few stuff.
Got a complete kit of black Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings at a good price.
Some Moog 9820 ball joints were brought in to fit my spindles.
May get a set of mis-matched S13 coilovers soon. Current owner says they're too hard for DD but I'm hoping that it'll cause me to slow down more during the week (save gas as well as ware and tear ) and use them to their potential at events or on weekends not to mention lower the back and rais the front.
Still deciding on what to budget for next...management OR front mount intercooler setup with front facing plenum and top feed injector rail. Either way that'll be till the end of the year as I have to begin shifting priorities.
